Hexarelin

Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide belonging to the class of growth hormone–releasing peptides (GHRPs). It acts primarily by activating the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a) in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, which leads to increased pulsatile secretion of endogenous growth hormone.

In scientific research, hexarelin is studied for its potent effects on the growth hormone axis and its downstream metabolic and physiological actions.
